Well Hello there…
First of all, thank you for vising my page. Now, you may be wondering who I am, where I come from, what kind of chocolate is my favorite. Let me tell ya, it was the year 1900 when… (just kidding). I am new into the world of photography (less than a year) and if you’d like to know exactly then you’ll have to ask REALLY nicely. But, how I had come into this “hobby” is essentially out of necessity. I had needed a photographer for a product of mine (the Kaiju Industries PR1-e Thigh Bag, available now on our website and Amazon). I didn’t know any personally who did photography, however I did know someone with a business who did photography for a certain sport’s competitions as well as their own product photography. Thinking that it would be better to ask through them than finding someone random I paid way too much for a dozen of utterly unusable pictures. So, half out of necessity I decided to do things myself (as well as it being a good excuse to pick up a new hobby of course). Having wasted months of my time tracking the people down and being on the brink of taking their business to the ground I got my full refund back and vowed to never do the same to anyone else.
So here I am today, very glad that I’ve picked up this hobby (despite the cruddy circumstances that brought me to it). It has been another case of a blessing in disguise and been a method of pseudo-therapy for me ever since. Drawing me outside of the house, exploring places, nature, and meeting people that I wouldn’t have otherwise. Slowing things down and being more aware of the beauty around us.
I am obviously very new to this and until I am satisfactorily comfortable with the type of photography I will not charge. And even if I do, I’d like to think that those who are not professional or at least are not providing professional quality work should not be charging professional level prices. If you have anything that would be new I am very much open to doing a trade, and if it’s something that I’m “comfortable” enough with I’m sure we could work something reasonable out.
